I come from a small village in Viljandimaa and spent a large part of my childhood at my grandparents’ home next door. They had a wide variety of animals – from horses and cows to dogs, cats, and chickens. This is where my affection and empathy for animals first took root, and they have been a part of my everyday life ever since. I have also gained invaluable experience through volunteering with organisations dedicated to animal welfare.
At home, I have a cat named Potter. With one eye, three legs and no teeth, he is the perfect example of pure joy for life. His heart is so big that it teaches humility. My husband and I are deeply grateful for him and are committed to giving him the best life possible.
Vurruvalve was born out of need, a dream, and a heartfelt wish. A need for a trustworthy pet sitter, a dream of working with animals, and a wish to support caring pet owners. Personal experience showed me how difficult it can be to find an experienced sitter you can truly trust – especially when it comes to pets with special needs. For me, it was essential that care takes place in the pet’s own home, in a familiar and safe environment. That’s why I decided to put my knowledge and experience to use and contributing to a more caring pet culture in Estonia.
I prefer an active lifestyle and enjoy a variety of sports. That’s why, for more energetic dogs, I’m happy to offer a hike or a jogging session instead of a regular walk.
I have been an animal lover my entire life, with dogs holding a particularly special place in my heart. In 2024, I developed a strong desire to better understand and support dogs. This led me to Nordic Dog Trainers, where I am currently studying dog behavior, body language, and emotional balance under experienced professionals in the field.
I’ve had animals in my life for almost as long as I can remember. As a child, both my sister and I had our own parrot, which was one of my first experiences learning to care for another living being. I truly believe that animals have much to teach us – empathy, patience, and unconditional love.

Vurruvalve provides pet sitting, which can include cat care, dog care, dog walking, feeding a small pet and cleaning its cage, or something else entirely. I emphasize that I only care for pets in their own home environment. This means I do not board pets at my place while you are away, but instead visit them in your home. This approach minimizes stress for your pet.
Additional services include key exchange, meaning the sitter can collect the keys in a separate visit before the care period or return them after the care period. We also offer administering deworming medication to cats (the medication must be provided by the owner) and cat nail trimming. These services are carried out and charged only if they can be performed safely and in a stress-free manner for the cat.
Pet sitting service covers:
A 24-hour care means that the sitter stays at your home for the duration of the service and takes care of your pet(s) according to your instructions. The price includes feeding your pet, administering medications or supplements, play, walks, and any other agreed-upon tasks. In addition, the sitter ensures that your home is left in the same condition as it was upon arrival. If needed, we can also assist with small household tasks, such as watering plants or receiving parcels. Of course, we provide the owner with regular updates in a suitable format (photos, videos, and written reports) about how the care is going.
The price for 24-hour care reflects both professional pet care and full responsibility for your home and your pet’s well-being. During this period, the caregiver is away from their own home and family and dedicates themselves entirely to the care and well-being of your pet.
To build mutual trust, I offer a free meet-and-greet for new clients. This means I’ll visit your home at a prearranged time before the pet-sitting period to get to know you and your pet(s). We’ll also discuss everything needed to ensure your pet feels happy and comfortable while you’re away.
Yes. Longer visits and pricing are always agreed individually to ensure the best and most suitable solution for your pet.
Vurruvalve operates in Viljandi, Tallinn, and Harju County.
I primarily care for small pets like cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents, and birds. However, if you have a more unusual pet—such as reptiles or fish—feel free to reach out! As long as I have the necessary information and instructions, I’m open to helping. The main focus is on meeting the pet's needs. If you’re traveling or away from home for several days, everything should be arranged in advance to ensure the pet's well-being throughout the entire period. For example, dogs typically require more attention and engagement than just 1 hour a day.
For dogs, an additional fee may apply for a second dog, as the level of care and attention required increases. The extra charge depends on the individual needs of the dogs. For cats, no additional fee is applied, care is provided under the same conditions for multiple cats.
Yes. I’m happy to care for pets that require medication, injections, or other special treatments. It’s important that your pet is friendly and that I receive clear, detailed instructions from you to ensure proper care.
The meet and greet is primarily about getting to know each other better. Additionally, we sign a contract with all new clients, outlining the rights and responsibilities of both parties. If you still feel unsure after the meeting, it’s absolutely okay to decide not to proceed with the service.
No. I only provide care in your pet’s own home. I firmly believe that staying in a familiar environment is the safest and least stressful option for pets. With their usual surroundings and a caring sitter, they can remain relaxed and content while you’re away.
Yes. If the pet is not aggressive or dangerous, but simply needs a calm approach or more mindful handling, we can usually find a suitable solution. An important part of this process is the meet and greet visit, where we assess the animal’s behavior and agree with the owner on all necessary conditions to ensure that the care period is safe and pleasant for everyone.
I have many years of shelter experience, which has given me the opportunity to work with animals of very different personalities and behaviors. I am especially experienced with cats, but I am continuously learning and developing my understanding of dog behavior as well. In addition, Vurruvalve works closely with certified dog behavior specialist Helina (www.koeraarmastus.org. I highly recommend contacting her if you need guidance or support in understanding, modifying, or preventing behavior issues in dogs.
Select your desired care period from the calendar, add your contact details, and wait for my reply. I will respond as soon as possible, usually within a few hours.

Although my studies are still ongoing, I genuinely feel that I can already support both dogs and their caregivers by helping them better understand one another and create a more harmonious everyday life. In my work with dogs, I place great importance on an ethical approach, understanding, and patience.
I decided to become a Vurruvalvur out of a deep love for animals and a desire to help dogs feel as safe and secure as possible, especially in stressful situations. As an added bonus, working as a Vurruvalvur allows me to closely observe and deepen my understanding of canine communication.

I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, an experience that strengthened my passion for caring for animals and making their lives better.
I joined Vurruvalve because I love helping where I can. While I work as an engineer in my day-to-day life, I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal time.
