Finding a sitter for your pet can be challenging and sometimes uncomfortable. It’s a true privilege if you have a dedicated loved one who helps wholeheartedly and with joy — and in many cases, that works very well.
However, if you travel frequently or have regular work trips, relying on the same person can become more difficult over time. We can’t expect someone to be available endlessly, and no one wants to feel like they’re asking too much. Likewise, a loved one shouldn’t feel that their goodwill is taken for granted.
Sometimes, even well-meaning helpers and owners may have different ideas about what’s best for the pet. For example, a friend might visit with children. For a pet already in a stressful situation (owner away, new people, new routines), such unexpected events can be frightening kujuneda.
We all love animals, but handling unexpected situations requires calm, good judgment, and experience. Pet sitting is not a responsibility to leave to someone inexperienced or underage. In complex situations, the emotional load can be overwhelming for everyone involved.
Being away from the owner is always stressful for a pet. A dedicated sitter can read body language and respond appropriately. Sometimes it’s important to give the pet spaceto adjust and feel safe. Experienced sitters know how to calm a pet and provide exactly the environment it needs.
Pet care can bring moments we can’t predict. In my work, I’ve encountered situations where a pet needed urgent transport to the clinic due to a sudden health issue. In such cases, it’s critical that the sitter has access to transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to act rationally in a crisis.
Unlike an individual helper, a professional service provides a safety net that is invaluable when you’re away. If the primary sitter is suddenly unavailable due to illness or another reason, we find a replacement so your pet isn’t left without care. This prevents situations where an owner might have to panic and find a last-minute solution or, worse, cut their trip short. It’s peace of mind you can’t leave to chance.
Professionaalne lemmikloomahoid ei ole pelgalt mugavusteenus. it’s a conscious decision and an investment in reassurance. Knowing that your pet is in responsible, experienced hands, even in unexpected situations, brings true peace of mind.

I have been an animal lover my entire life, with dogs holding a particularly special place in my heart. In 2024, I developed a strong desire to better understand and support dogs. This led me to Nordic Dog Trainers, where I am currently studying dog behavior, body language, and emotional balance under experienced professionals in the field.
Although my studies are still ongoing, I genuinely feel that I can already support both dogs and their caregivers by helping them better understand one another and create a more harmonious everyday life. In my work with dogs, I place great importance on an ethical approach, understanding, and patience.
I decided to become a Vurruvalvur out of a deep love for animals and a desire to help dogs feel as safe and secure as possible, especially in stressful situations. As an added bonus, working as a Vurruvalvur allows me to closely observe and deepen my understanding of canine communication.
I’ve had animals in my life for almost as long as I can remember. As a child, both my sister and I had our own parrot, which was one of my first experiences learning to care for another living being. I truly believe that animals have much to teach us – empathy, patience, and unconditional love. At home, I share my life with my cat Käbi and my dog Pluto, who bring joy and warmth to every day. I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, an experience that strengthened my passion for caring for animals and making their lives better.
I joined Vurruvalve because I love helping where I can. While I work as an engineer in my day-to-day life, I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal time.
